I meeeeeeeeeeaaaaannnnnn you’re totally not going to be surprised by this but obviously I’m gonna have to go for ARTEMIS. Even though it’s an AU of an existing book and thus not 100% my own concept, a lot of it is original and the amount of researching and planning I did was so much fun.

It also gave me the opportunity to write a lot of female characters as main characters instead of side characters. 

And even though it wasn’t read by a lot of people, it’s still personal to me and I’m about a quarter of the way into the sequel :)

Eileen grinned at the sight of the sleek black M2 grenade in her hands. These grenades had caused them nothing but trouble since the moment they arrived.

Now she was armed with one and it was time to return the favour.

ARTEMIS is the bane of my existence. It’s a spy fic based on my favourite book series. I’ve been struggling to work out how to describe it and I think I settled on this: It’s kind of like The Da Vinci Code, but with more science, and the protagonists are a trained team of agents rather than an unwitting professor.

I’m currently halfway through the first case and my word count is at 71k. I have no idea how big it will be when I’m done, which is terrifying. 

There will be pain, angst, enemies to lovers, serious life-changing injuries, deaths, hate sex, betrayal, and lots of badly researched scientific, artistic and religious facts :) :) :) :) (kill me plz)

An excerpt of what I have written so far:

Castiel turned his head artfully to the right, almost as if he was admiring the beautiful pottery in the window beside him. But it passed him by with no appreciation at all. He simply knew where all of the cameras were in this area and was taking good care to hide his face.

ARTEMIS would no doubt be on the lookout for him. After the events of Pine Bluff and then running into the team twice so swiftly, even if it was by design, he suspected that they would use every resource at their disposal to find him. No doubt at Commander Winchester’s order. Castiel could see the deep loathing in those pretty green eyes whenever he’d met his eyes. The same way he knew that the sky was blue, he knew that Commander Dean Winchester wanted nothing more than to end his life.

A smirk tugged at the corner of Castiel’s mouth. Well, it wouldn’t do to make it easy for him.

Yesssssss, Critique. I loved reading the comments on that one. People either guessed it or acted like they’d had their mind blown haha! Also I am weak for spy fics and I will never be stopped ;) ;) ;)
